Founded in 2013 by Samarjeet Tripathi, SEWA Charitable Trust began its humble journey in the vibrant communities of Mumbai's Dharavi and Prayagraj. What started as an informal initiative during Samarjeet's Economics graduation and CA/CS studies soon grew into a passionate movement dedicated to social upliftment.
In 2017, SEWA made Delhi its headquarters, steadily expanding with branches in Kanpur, Chitrakoot, Mahoba, Mumbai, and Lalpur (Chhattisgarh) — broadening its footprint of impact across India.

SEWA officially registered as an NGO in Delhi on July 18, 2025, but its journey of grassroots change began much earlier, rooted in Samarjeet's belief in the TCR Philosophy – a vision of Transformation, Compassion, and Resilience.
